RemARKable LOVE Blog Tour – Day 2~ Movers and Shapers & SU Mini Milk carton Bigz L Die

Published by under SU cards, bag/boxes

Wow .. There is alot of LOVE going round.
I LOVE all the terrific ideas I gained yesterday from my fellow team members. I am excited  to see what today brings.

My card today uses the movers and shapers  and movable heart die, Heart punch and Sending Love Specialty paper from The new occasions mini catalog that starts in 5 days.

The punch on the card is The NEW Scallop Trim border. This punch is one of the items that you can get FREE during Sale a bration. Yep this year one of the FREE items is this punch. It is so delicate looking and adds instant WOW to your projects.

It is hard to tell in the picture but the DSP is glittery~Each sheet in the pack of paper has one side that is glittered. The satin ribbon is very pretty too!

This next project features the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Milk carton die. I used The bear From Under the stars on the front of carton. I got the idea from one of my fellow teammates last year for valentines day, and thought he would be perfect on this new die. Fill the carton with some chocolate and give to your valentine.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!!!!!! Enjoy the weekend and stop back tomorrow for Day #3.

Top Note gift certificates

Published by under Sizzix samples

I needed to make some xmas gift certificates and the top note die from Stampin’ Up! made the job easy!

I folded a 41/4 x11 sheet of paper in half and put the folded half just below the top of one end of the die. That way when it was run through it made a top note “card”

next I ran designer series paper through the top note and then cut it in half to put on the inside to hold the gift certificate

I ran the top of the note through the sizzix again with Petals a plenty embossing folder and sponged over with champagne mist shimmer paints.

Last I decorated the fronts with the Christmas Jingle scrappin kit.

A pretty way to present those gift cards & certificates that you are giving this xmas season.
Thanks for stopping by and Have a Very Merry Christmas!

Ghostly Greetings Diorama card

Published by under SU cards

Last week we did a shoebox swap at our team meeting. I loved the cards everyone did. One of my favorites was a diorama card from fellow teammate Debbie Adams. We used The ghostly greetings set from the Holiday mini

These next 2 pictures are showing the view from the top and the house in the back of the diorama card:
The card can fold flat to be mailed

This was a fun card to make.
Have a great evening and I hope to share some more swap cards over the week.

SU ornament punch used as a vase

Published by under SU cards

I love our new ornament punch featured on page 25 of the Holiday mini catalog. This punch is designed to go with Delightful decorations stamp set, Merry & bright Rub ons and our holiday windows sizzix dies.

My card sample today uses it in another way…..it is used as a vase. I have seen it used this way on many talented demonstrators blogs and websites and knew I wanted to use it this way myself. THe card below is my take on the punched vase.
I now have a holiday punch that can be used year round!

It’s hard to see in the picture, but I ran the razzleberry cardstock through the bigshot with textured Perfect details plate and then punched out with the ornament punch. I cut the point off the bottom and added some twine around the top.
Stamp set used: Thoughts and Prayers

Thanks for stopping by…Have a terrific week.

Fall stamped soap

Published by under 3-D items

I can’t believe I have never stamped on soap before. It is so easy and makes a great hostess gift. Here is a sample of a soap I made for my workshop hostess’s this month.

To stamp on soap:

  1. Stamp your image on tissue paper with permanent ink. I stamped the pumpkin from Stampin’ Up! Autumn harvest with black stazon.

  2. Color in your image with permanent markers.

  3. Cut out the image as close as you can

  4. I used a bar of pure and natural soap as it was flat on one side …if you are unable to find this soap, a bar of Ivory soap can be used. Remove the Ivory word by using a cheese slicer and lightly run slicer over the soap until the image is gone.

  5. Apply a thin layer of modge podge to the soap

  6. Lay the image over this layer while wet and then apply a coating of modge podge over the image to seal.

It is so easy…I know I will be making alot more of these for quick holiday gift giving.
Have a great evening.

Sizzix fancy fold baby headbands and onesies

Published by under Sizzix samples

YIKES…12 days since my last post. I have been busy though…just have to find the time to update you on my projects I have been working on.

Todays post is a recent baby gift I made for one of my customers. I used our fancy fold flowers die and ran them through the big shot with fabric.
After running them through I applied fabric fray to the edges and then used fabric glue to glue together and adhere to the onesies. I sewed the button embellishments on for the headbands and sewed to the headbands

Enjoy.

Stop back tomorrow. I will be posting an autumn hostess gift.

Final day for RemARKable holiday tour featuring serenesnowflakes

Published by under SU cards

Good morning! The tour is on its final day of what I hope was an inspiring four days of ideas. My samples today use the Serene Snowflakes set which is featured on pf 26 of the mini holiday catalog.

These are very easy to make and will be part of my hostess gifts for this month. These are 3×3 cards that can be attached to gifts as a cute tag. I was inspired to make these by a card I saw on Michele Zindorf’s blog.

Here is a close up of the snowflake:

                                                                   To get this look:

1.) stamp your image with versamark ink
2.) pour clear embossing powder over the image and heat set.
3.) sponge over image starting in middle and working in a circular manner outwards. As Michele suggested, whenever I reinked I started back in the middle and worked outwards so the color is darker in middle and lighter on the outside.

easy peasy and a definate wow effect!

This next share is a 12×12 scrapbook page that was one of our make and takes at Janet Wakeland weekend Jungle crop. It uses the The Christmas Cocoa specialty paper on pg 21.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will be stopping by frequently. If you subscribed, you will get notified whenever I post. Thanks for all the wonderful comments and stop back tomorrow for some samples featuring Dasher stamp set and I will also post the winner of my blog candy.

Next up is Brenda’s blog HERE
Have a great blessed day!
